Expensive certified translation

Three years ago I graduated from university. My specialty was business English. After the studies I started to search for a work and I couldn"t found for almost half a year. Finally, I was lucky on the interview and the international corporation hired me as a younger business advisor. Everything was fine until the economic crisis hit the world. Right now everybody in our corporation are afraid about their positions, me as well. That is why I decided to apply for other job abroad. The procedures are even simpler than in our country, but the biggest problem is obtaining certified translation of my university diploma. This is very expensive, as I need to send over 3 applications I would have to pay 300$ for it. I am seriously thinking about sending those right now. I know that this is my huge opportunity, so this expense would be forgotten in few months. Anyway it is terrible that translators are being paid such amount of money for translating few sentences and signing them. If I was older I would have thought about making certified translation on a daily basis. It is just a case of qualifications needed. Few tests should be passed in order to become a translator. Maybe then I would be rich as hell. Have you ever had the same situation?
